Community Visiting Nurses

Would you like the opportunity to sit down in a relaxed environment to ask the questions about the pregnancy and approaching motherhood you forget to ask in the doctor’s office? This is a unique opportunity for you to put your feet up and relax as you chat one-on-one with a community nurse. TLC Family Resource Center is offering two free community nurse visits for all pregnant women in our area regardless of socio-economic status. The visits are made once in the third trimester and once postpartum — here in our office or in your home.
The visits will be conducted by Karen Jameson, a registered nurse with an M.Ed. She has 15 years of nurse home visiting experience and is also trained in lactation.
The visits are designed to be relaxed, casual and driven by mom. There is no curriculum. Our nurse will listen to your questions and needs then respond nonjudgmentally. The visits will not include an evaluation of the mother ‘s or baby’s health.
