![]() “One of the key factors in strengthening families is guiding them to be resilient,” says Maggie Monroe-Cassel, the agency’s director. “We asked Jessie to be our honorary chair of our Born to Run 5K race/walk because she exemplifies resilience as she manages her own challenging disease.” Sullivan County Manager Jessie Levine was diagnosed with ALS 18 months ago and has continued her work as county manager. Levine welcomed the appointment as Honorary Chair. “I am honored that TLC chose to include me in this event. This 5K was one of the last races I ran after my diagnosis in 2015, so I am glad that there is a way I can continue to support the good work of TLC and all it does for the community. I encourage everyone to take part in this very special day.” The race will take place on October 8 at the Cornish, NH, Town Hall. It is a hybrid race that takes runners and walkers through a woods of Cornish on Class VI roads and trails. It is a challenging route that includes hills. As well as the 5K race, there will also be a Pumpkin Patch Dash for children. Click here to register for the event. For more information or questions, call Maggie Monroe-Cassel at 603-542-1848 ext. 322.
