TLC Recovery Programs seeks a Recovery Friendly Workplaces (RFW)/Volunteer Coordinator to support program expansion through building relationships with local employers and coordination of a robust volunteer program. Our mission is to decrease stigma and harm associated with substance use by providing peer-based recovery support, education, advocacy, and resource navigation for individuals and families. This position has two distinct roles that complement each other and use similar skills. The purpose of the Recovery Friendly Workplace initiative is to provide local business owners and employees the resources and support needed to foster an environment that encourages and promotes recovery. The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for all aspects regarding volunteers at TLC. This includes recruiting, developing, training, and supporting volunteers while simultaneously promoting volunteer opportunities and conveying the organization's purpose to the public. This is a full-time (40 hour per week) position that is primarily done in the office at TLC Family Resource Center with some travel. TLC provides a flexible schedule and options to work remotely when appropriate.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TIME ON TASK EXPECTATIONS
Recovery Friendly Workplace Initiatives (35%)
• Provide ongoing outreach coordination to local employers with the purpose of building connections between the workplace and recovery-based services
• Provide substance use trainings and education to employers and staff including providing proper support for people with SUD, reducing stigma in the workplace, and raising awareness of TLC’s family and recovery support services.
• Provide ongoing recovery support for individuals referred to us through the RFW initiatives.
Volunteer Coordination (35%)
• Recruiting, training, and supervising new volunteers
• Oversee training and scheduling of volunteers to fill general volunteer roles
• Support and assist TLC Recovery Manager in supervision of special projects' volunteers working on short term projects
• Assists with providing peer performance reviews for volunteers
• Oversee and manage the quarterly membership meetings
Documentation (20%)
• Complete required electronic documentation and forms thoroughly, accurately, and on time using various data platforms as required by contract.
• Accurately report time worked using TimeWorksPlus
Meetings/Trainings/Supervisions (10%)
• Works towards obtaining certification in recovery coaching by the NH Licensing Board. Participate in supervision and self-evaluation
• Participate in required trainings specific towards the recovery field and professional development
• Attend and contribute towards scheduled team meetings
REQUIREMENTS
• Associates Degree or higher
• Intermediate computer skills
• Strong communication and presentation skills
